Hi I built a seven switch a while ago no clue what version the circuit was but I diconneced everything but power and the led is still on. BTW this board used to work fine as in steer a fan

Is it a SevenSwitch 1.1? Then this behaviour is normal, it picks up random noise which is sufficient to switch the MOSFET. There's no harm with this, because as soon as you connect the signal line it'll behave properly. Nevertheless you can upgrade to v1.2: [reprap.org]
