Now In the video intro of the reprap I saw he was talking about growing cornstarch for pla.
The thing I was wondering about is this what are the hurdles and how is pla actually made.
I mean I saw about failures in here but wouldn't there be ways around those failures?
what is the exact physical process from cornstarch to plastic (PLA, PLLA etc.)
first put in vat ferment, add water binding agent (couldn't the excess water molecules be strained/ centifuged out?) what then I really have to completly researched the process yet, as I'm new to the whole reprap thing but I am interested and I could not find anything on google about this subject that was positive in regards to it being possible in some way.
