Hi

Im now using my mendel prusa for one year and i have now some ideas which require more complex plastics than abs and pla.
I tried researching other thermoplasts but im not a chemist so i find the all the different definitions of the plastics proportions to complicated.

Is the a list with 3d printer usable materials and ajectives like hard, flxible, transparent etc?

On the other hand whats the most flexible plastic we can use without needing additives?

PC, PMMA, HDPE, PP, PCL and PA have all been printed.

do you have a suggestion for a soft flexible plstic like PVC with softner?

There is a soft rubbery variant of PLA sold by Orbitech. I have some but I haven't tried printing it yet.

PP and PCL are flexible when printed thin enough. You can probably print living hinges with PP.

I have a roll of the soft PLA purchased through the GRRF and it works fine but you have to print it VERY SLOWLY.
I have been successful printing it at 15mm/s.

Abs is one of the best usable plastics i have ever seen.
But there are others also which are competing with ABS.
