DLP resin printing continue'd

Hi Everyone,

Now that I am using DLP resin printing more and more its clear that the possibilities are huge.
Imagen a very complex object that you want to print but you don't have to think about retraction, travel spreed, perimeter speed, temperature hotend, temperature heatbed.. etc etc..

you just need to think about load image, press print.

please have a look at this print:

the next challenge is to print on a larger build area smiling smiley

Kind regards,

Taipei 101 bld, is that real part or a render?

I read that DLP resin printing is cheaper than filament printing.
Have you found that to be the case?
How far are you with your plans to build an uber large DLP resin printer?

Hi A2,

This is a real part smiling smiley not a render smiling smiley

i have more pictures if you like to see:

on this print you cannot see the layers.

for your next question about cost,
Do you mean operational cost: you don't need that much heat, and you only have a Z-axis motor
Printing cost: resin prices are coming down fast.
i must say i don't use to much supports as with FDM and that is also a good thing.

We hope we can have a new dlp printer out soon. We have learned allot from the current printer.

Are ya interested? smiling smiley

I reviewed your website and blog, cool projects.

I'm noodling a bunch of ideas for a zirconia nozzle.
I see you had to add a Teflon tube to your zirconia nozzle design.
I'm thinking of a solution, why haven't you increased the I.D. diameter, test I.D. 3.30 mm?

@hp_ ,

You increased the Dia, and polished zirconia, and it was still too hard to push through.....confused smiley

I conducted a simple test with Nylon and Zirconia.

The Nylon when pressed hard into the zirconia will stick/adhere, but the Nylon falls off easily when gently tapped.
