SCARA Plasma Marlin-ArcDroid

I came across an interesting repository on GitHub — a project for a CNC plasma cutter with SCARA kinematics, called Marlin-ArcDroid.
After studying the open-source code and doing some research online, I put together an initial specification:
• Display: BigtreeTech TFT70
• Controller: Custom-built (though the code mentions compatibility with BigtreeTech and MKS)
• Motors: NEMA 23 with separate encoder boards
• Drive system: Belt-driven
• Probe: For generating CNC control programs
• Mechanics: SCARA kinematics
• Plasma cutting relay: For triggering the cutting process
• Calibration: Supports machine calibration with offset storage on an external drive
• And much more.

My questions are:
1. Is it possible to use this firmware on a custom-built SCARA robot?
2. Which controller would be the best choice for this project?
3. How should the firmware be compiled?

This project is compact and well-designed. It would be great to see more enthusiasts develop and expand on this idea.
