so should we switch to using this list exclusively for development stuff?

It's looking good. Let's try it and see how we get on! Can we set it so the
email Reply-to field is always developers@reprap.org ?

also, maybe make the archives public. any 'private' conversations we
can use the old list for, whereas this list will definitely generate
some worthwhile technical information that would be great to get out
there.

Yes - read-only to the world would be good. As you say, we'll keep the old
address for private conversations.

Because Simon very kindly registered me himself (as opposed to my doing it) I
don't know my password...

The mass registration facility randomly generates passwords and sends
them out so the password should have been included in the registration
confirmation email. Let me know if it isn't.

The mailing list is integrated with the forums (see left nav bar on the
wiki). All of this information is available in there for people to
peruse (it's much nicer to view there than in a mailman mail archive too).

Speaking of forums; Adrian, can we get forums.reprap.org set up to point
to the same IP address as the wiki?

Yes - Zach very politely pointed out to me that if I had bothered to
