Hi
I wounder if the Marlin software can handel 2 extruder.
1 Extruder with Multiplex option so I can print multi color from same nozzle and 1 stepdriver?
2 Extruder will only be use with support material and dont need run multiplex and has it own step drive.

Are this possible or it just in my head?

I think that works as far as marlin is concerned, BUT

Does multiplex software support "external" extruders, since its doing the slicing and figuring out how much of which filament to use.
As far as I could tell multiplex was not able to be "chained" yet.

I dont know myself, I only saw a video on one.

Marlin does indeed support Two filament extruders. If you are using Ramps 1.3/1.4 then Change

" #Define MOTHERBOARD BOARD_RAMPS_14_EFB " the change to " #define #define MOTHERBOARD BOARD_MKS_13 " This will allow you Extruder, Extruder, Fan, Bed ('EEFB')
