Is the reprap always on COM5@250000?

Trying to send gcode to my reprap through the c# code below that got from martinprice2004 on this thread. I am wondering if all the repraps get connected to COM5@250000 by dafault before someone change the rate in the firmware?
Many thanks,
Arthur

No. The baud rate depends on firmware settings, in recent firmwares 115200 and 250000 baud are popular.

The port depends on what your host operating system gives you. Unplug the RepRap controller, look which ports you have, then plug it again and find the additional/new one.

Another way to find the port is to simply try all of them. A RepRap controller sends a "start" after hitting the reset button; Pronterface reports "printer connected" if it's pointed to the right port.
