Very cool, I like the fact that it features many more models per page than thingiverse.
Looking forward to seeing more website added to the search.

Also have you thought of including a function that allows users to search for parts or assemblies. I was thinking formats such as .prt .sldprt .asm .sldasm.
These could then be used as building blocks for designers who wanted to create new products. A bit like lego for Solidworks....smiling smiley

Is there any way to search with AND criteria? For example, I was searching for accessories to ipod classic. Searching for "ipod" gives 120 results. Searching for "ipod classic" returns everything with ipod OR classic in the description, a total of 360, many of which are not related to ipods in any way. I couldn't figure out any way to do an AND search.

With the advanced search you can select between:
1. All Words
2. Any Words
3. Exact Phrase

Using Google search you would use "ipod and classic".

@ttsalo

At the time you cannot see which search criteria the systems used, we will work on it to show the information inside of the results.

The search works with the "and" operator. The first step is to search absolutly exact, then stemmed exact and so on.....the last try ist to search absolutly broad (and/or). We are thinking about how to show this information in the results for a better understanding.

@rhmorrison
the search options on yeggi are no longer available, the new search does it automaticly.

Could you clarify how exactly the search works with the "and" operator? I tried the "ipod classic" search with all "and" operators I could think of (quotes, AND, +, &, &&...) and it's returning everything with either word instead, every time. I'm only interested in things with both words in them, not hundreds of "classic" things that have nothing to with ipods...

@ttsalo

there is no need to use operators! There are a few different searches in the background before the results are shown. If you use "and" or "or" the search will use them as keywords. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

We will seperate the results in exact results and similar results in the next weeks for a better understanding!
