Out of the box thinking recycling melting extruder

Hello you freaking developers out there!
While studying clay extruders I wondered if someone has ever tried to make a direct melting extruder system. I know there is already one with a little screw and pallets but I never saw a vid with a working device. I attached a rough drawing which explains what I mean. I really don't know if the stepper motor can handle the pressure needed. In theory this should work but ya theory...... maybe it is just stupid idea.
Give me your thoughts.

Never mind. I made a quick setup for a proof of concept. It failed! The rough shredded plastic particles clumped together in the pipe even before they reached the melting zone. There was no transport possible anymore.
In the mean time I found a brazilian guy who has so it seems very good results with his own direct melting system. video click here Again there is a little auger involved.
