New to reprap and have a E-Maker Huxley I am struggling to assemble

Hello everyone smiling smiley

I sincerely hope to get help in getting my E-Maker Huxley (from the indiegogo campaign) set up for use.
I seem to be having a very problematic time of it. The frame itself is done and measured to be level and equal and I have the carriage section done up but the movement is very tight and not at all smooth no matter how many times I have tried to adjust things. It has become *quite* frustrating for me. sad smiley
If there were someone in my area who would spend a day to aid me in the build I would be grateful as well, if that were an option. (I am in Napa, nothern California)
Any replies or help are appreciated. (I know this is not much info to go on, but I am just getting started so please bear with me)

You might wanna try to hop into the reprap irc channel, lots of people hanging around here will be able to help if you can describe things properly.

Most of my technical comments should be correct, but is THIS one ?
Anyway, as a rule of thumb, always double check what people write.

Was anybody able to help ?

If not I suggest you locate which part of the mechanism is too tight. Remove the belt, and see if the carriage moves freely only on the linear bearings.
