Pneumatic fittings for bowden cable - where can I get them?

Hello,

I'm after the same fittings as used in the RRP huxley/mendel bowden extruder - however they haven't got any in stock.
Can anyone suggest an alternative supplier? I'm not sure if they're machined or off the shelf.

thanks

Looks like machined to me.

Maybe have a glance at their sources - I assume they made it public ? - to see if those fittings are part of their own design.

Most of my technical comments should be correct, but is THIS one ?
Anyway, as a rule of thumb, always double check what people write.

They are machined and the files are there in the github, as you suspected.
I'm going to try printing a coupling instead, probably similar to this: [www.thingiverse.com]

I tried making that kind of coupling work, but failed, the ptfe always end up sliding - or if it doesn't move, the filament can't get through.

I've gone another way, using auto-locking pneumatic coupling, and that works better IMO, you might want consider it.

Here's my thing using those , you'll find a link to one provider of those couplings inhere (they have other dimensions if you use 1.75 filament instead) : [www.thingiverse.com]

Hey,

thanks for your suggestion, I thought I recognised your username winking smiley

I would like to avoid buying a coupling so i'm going to try the other one, with a bit of glue if required. I've got an idea how to make the holes align so the filament can feed properly.

If it doesnt work then i'll try out your design!

thanks,

Mike
