Should I expect any issues with moving the axis around without the extruder motor connected? Or the heat bed?
I was slowly adjusting the pots up on the x axis to get it running without stutter... happily I was able to use pronterface to move the x and y from center through each of back and front left and right - without any skips or stutters!
Then, after moving the bed out of the way of the nozzle I started trying to adjust the z stop... then the axis stopped responding. So I powered down and dialed back the pots, but I was only able to start recommissioning the x axis with some stutter homing before it stopped responding again.
At this point, I'm suspicious I've got an overheating issue. X isn't too hot, but y nearly burned me.
Am I observing a textbook overheating? Or could this simply be a pronterface/serial port issue?
Cheers!
