Newb question for general audience

Will the MetalicaRap be able to print bolts, nuts, screwdrivers, and other common metal objects you buy at the hardware store? If so, this is very exciting.

Do you have an estimated date of when MetalicaRap will become functional? Estimated build cost?

Yes, Metalicarap will be able to print such items.
However, to my knowledge, no estimated calculations to the end cost of such items have been made yet, but generally speaking "prototype" production of a "simple to produce" item will always be at a higher cost than using industrial mass production methods. This is evident on all printers (fx laser, bubble-jet, RepRap 3D)

Sorry, no reliable estimates of time frames can be made at this time.

Through the last four iterations of design solutions the estimated end price is now down from € 50K to € 10K
Hello!
First, I must give you the praise all of you deserve. This project is amazing.
I am excited to see a metal printer for such a low cost.
Curiously, what would drive the price down further?
Additionally, though I recall the original estimate of the build envelope to be 30cm^3, I cannot find that measurement. Is this still the same?
Thank you for your time.

hi
For the non window design yes it is the same 30cm^3.
For the high tech window design the build platform is up to the size of your "argon tent at atmospheric pressure" and the time your willing to wait.
kind regards
