building a prototype

... I made my diploma at the IAP in Frankfurt am Main ( [www1.uni-frankfurt.de] ) with simulating high paralllized computer grids, based on Transputers.

My peers developed the gears for ion- and electron-sources, "electromagnetic optics" and such.

Where I was involved, were some experiments to find best methodes for homogenous heating of UHV-tanks for Leybold and developing electronics and controllers for the sensors and micropositioning of the sources.

Another project I was helping with the electronics and controllers were the first experiments for thermally induced luminescence for dating of old archeological samples, containing ceramic particles and felspar ... and some more, mostly concerning software and electronics ...
