Hi folks!
Maybe this can help someone:
Yesterday I struggeld with RAMPS v1.2.The bare PCB was bought from a shop, the parts self soldered by me.
Problem:
The X motor didn't act as expected. It just wobbled around when trying to move 0.1 mm and just beeped when trying to move greater distances.
Reason:
The X Pololu didn't accept my microstepping configuration and acted like "full stepping" .So the movement speed was way too high.
Solution:
The via on the board which is connecting X MS1/2/3 with VDD on the Pololu (see image) wasn't connected through the layers.
A minor cause with a big impact and hard to find if you belief the pcb itself has to be ok! So back to self etching and never trust something you haven't done on your own.
