Can I use A4983 and motor with working current 2.5A???

BotMill sells stepper motors for good price thumbs up. But i`m not sure i can use them with Quadstepper (with A4983 - limit 2 amp).
If i give less current to motor (1.2-1.5A) will it work good (enough torque) for RepRap.
motor (42BYGHW811 NEMA-17 Bipolar 4-wire Step angle: 1.8° Holding Torque: 4800g-cm @ 2.5 Amps)
or i have to give it 2 amp and use heat sink???
or better to look for SM42HT47-1684MB Torque: 4400g-cm @ 1.68 Amps ???
The second one is significantly better. You will get way less than rated torque driving the first one with an A4983.

Under-driving the first motor isn't really a big deal.

The motor torque and current are approximately proportional, so running the 2.5A motor at 1.25A, you still have 2400g-cm of torque which is plenty for a reprap. Also, this will make the motor run a lot cooler.
