Looking to extend the ribbon cable that goes from the ramps to screen/encoder to around a meter, will this be ok or will there be an issue with signal lose?

Ok tested control and sd side at 5m and the control is fine but on the sd side at 5m it detects a card when inserted but wont read the card.

What is the max anyone as gone to ??????
