Can a RAMPS run a thermocouple

Short question, Can a RAMPS run a thermocouple for a heated bed (Type T) instead of a thermistor? Is the RAMPS output for beds bang bang or proportional?

Longer explanation. I have a 110v heated bed, controlled by an outside controller. I want to shift to controlling it with the RAMPS using a relay to control the 110 V heater with the 12V RAMPS HBP controller, and reporting the temperature to the RAMPS via my type T thermocouple. Can a RAMPS be configured to use the thermocouple to control, or do I have to rewire my bed to use a thermistor? Additionally, is the Ramps bed output a bang bang or proportional? Thanks

you will need to use a few more pins to add on the extra chip you need, but they are out there, but for starters we need to know your firmware,

but you might wanna check your firmware, sprinter and marlin both support thermocouplers.

We are running sprinter. I am not the one who installed it, I am handling hardware and electronics. Can anyone point me the right way to proper chips, ryc?
Thanks

Yes it can, my version anyways.
Uses the Max6675.

I started the project a year ago, and I've only just got back to it.
