So adding a external mosfet is the best option right and then do i need 2 psu and what output do i need planning to run a 24v bed on ramps 1.4.

yea you need two psu but, do you have the ramps already? just that mks do a board mks gen l v1 apparently it can use either 12 or 24v " never used 24v thou " doesn't cost much more than a cheap RAMPS setup.
