powering or connection issues!!!!

got all my motors and stuff today

it was a pre-assmenbled kit

i'm trying to just test it before i hook up the steppers or anything elsa but i can't connet to the printer?

i have got it hooked up to a psu with a 5v draw and if the usb pulled in i can turn the psu off and it makes no differnts so i'm guess it is an issue with the power but i really have no clue what i am doing so any help would be good

Did the kit say it would be pre-loaded with software?

If not, you'll need to load something like Marlin or Sprinter onto the board.

ok i did do all that but for some reason marlin would not work for me but i switched to sprinter and now it connects but nothing will move so now i have to work that one out

next question how do you disable the endstops in sprinter i have been all thought it and can't find out how
