First time RepRap build electronics help

So I'm looking into building my first Reprap, however I found that I can save 200 dollars by buying the parts individually rather than in a kit. While I was looking around I found this electronics combo.

Can anyone tell me whether or not this is a good deal, and if these are the correct parts that I need?

I think the reprapdiscount kits are great. They contain almost everything you need.

you will only need a power supply and some extra cable for the hot bed, hot end and to attach the power supply to the ramps. and a USB cable

I looked around a lot when I built mine and was unable to find anything close price wise, even buying the elements seperatly.

Ok good to know, i already have a power-supply in mind, and access to a radio shack near my home. Thanks

You can get a 12v 20a switching shipped to you off ebay for $22 or so. Pairs up nicely.
Don't forget a USB cable (you can get a 15ft for $4 on ebay as well)
