Extruders no longer heating up

Out of the blue, my RAMPS 1.4 stopped heating up the hot end. Nothing has been changed recently, thermistors are reading correctly, bed heats up etc, but the hot end cartridge transistors no longer turn on. What could be the cause of this?

Check wiring and maybe check your heater on the extruder. im using a resistor and it gets destroyed alot(because of too low resistance and i dont think its designed for high temp) so i keep replacing it and works afterwards.

Yeah, check the wiring. Did something come loose?

Switch the heater on and check there is 12v across the D10 connector - if there is, check that the hotend resistor itself has 12v dropped across it. If it has, replace the resistor. If no voltage anywhere, then we need to look at the control circuitry.
