Dual Z axis using seperate drivers on ultimaker 1.5.7 board

not knowing anything about arduinos or 3d printers i picked up the sainsmart mega 2560 board and 1.5.7 ramps, with all steppers endstop and heatbed included,

long story short, making a prusa I3 and am finding it difficult to get the firmware to drive 2 z axis steppers with 2 seperate drivers, (using marlin, and tried in repeiter)
anyways, im not sure the trouble is worth it, since wiring the steppers in series is always an option, just not sure of the benefits or downfalls of doing so,

Where did you get a "Ramps 1.5.7"?

I ask because the wiki page only lists V1.4.

I know of a 1.4.2 that was made by GRRF, but not of other versions.

Sorry, im a noob, but i thought a ramps board was just an arduino sheild that popped ontop, but its the board from an ultimaker (from what ive found) it has 3axis drivers amd 2 extruder drivers, its the ultimaker 1.5.7 board

RAMPS is a shield, but yes, there are "lots" of shields out there, while RAMPS is just a specific one.

I guess the ultimaker board isnt very popular then haha

You might want to ask on their forum or post in the general electronics forum, where others might see it.
