RRD FULL GRAPHICS CONTROLLER AND RAMBO

Hi,

I defined the controller and installed the U8g in the library. I do not get any errors on compileing and uploading. When I put power to the system, I get no power to the controller. It is the red board controller, not the white one. Should there be power on the Rambo 1.2 board when uploading firmware? Anything else I need to do?

I have power now but just a blank screen.

did you get your reprapdiscount smart controller working? i have one with issues too. maybe we can combine knowledge. I have ramps 1.4 msg me or add me on google +

I have Ramps board. Is there documentation to hook the Graphics controller up please? I dont want to blow it up! The Ramps board has only one 8 pin connector. The LCD controller has 2 connectors

I believe that this adapter board also works with the full graphics LCD:

They also have a RAMBO adapter board if anyone is looking for one.....

Yep all sorted now but I have posted another issue regarding the bed thermistor which is playing up after I plugged in the Graphics controller. A hell of a coincidence as I have been using my pribter for a year with no problems until now!

I managed to get the full graphic to work properly.
Adruino 1.0.5
Rambo driver installed
Rambo add-on
u8glib installed (http://code.google.com/p/u8glib/wiki/u8glib)


However I have an issue on my second install with the red LCD smart controller (reprap discount clone).

The lcd display remain blank (no power) and it keeps beeping. I realy don't know why. I followed all the steps from the rambo lcd wiki but marlin is already up to date. It should be something else.

I use this line to define the lcd:
#define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_SMART_CONTROLLER

I tried with arduino 1.0.5 as mentioned above and also with arduino 0023 (pins_arduino.c updated). Same behaviour.

Anybody have an idea?

The usb power is cut from usb on the rambo 1.2 version. I always put power on when I upload the firmware.
