My printer freezes mid print. RAMPS 1.4, Slic3r, Pronterface (115200 baud) on a MacBook Air. Suspect buffer/comm/interrupt problem. After a freeze the printer is unresponsive until I pull the USB and plug it back in again. Anyone else had (and solved!) this problem?

I once had a similar problem with my Sanguinololu. It turned out that it was loosing the USB connection whenever I switched of the (fluorescent) lights in the same room. I ended up replacing the fluorescent light with LEDs - and never again had the problem since.

Best bet is to print from SD card, not over USB.

My machine has a micro SD reader so I enabled SD in firmware. Printing from SD now with no freezes! Thanks!
