How important is D1's model

Hello.
hope you can help me a little. I would like my Arduino to take power from the power supply instead of through USB, I use a RAMPS 1.4. I understand I need to put a diode D1, but only has a 1N4005, not a 1N4004 as it says on RAMPS_1.4.
can I still use the 4005 or should they be the same, and it's okay to use two different?

1N4005 will work just fine, it's also for 1A avg forward current, like the 1N4004, but it allows even higher reverse voltages.

Any of the 1N400x series should work . . . the device is running at 12v, which is in the range for a 1N4001, and other than the voltage, and too much isn't a problem, if, as others have noted, the current rating is the same, as is the case with this series.
