Heated Bed Temp Sensor Issue

Heated Bed Temp Sensor Issue
December 19, 2015 09:14AM
Hi All,

Everything was working well until the Y axis end stop unclipped. I fixed the end stop and tried again to print, but Ramps is not reading the bed temperature.

I've checked and re-soldered the bed connections, there's current flowing and the bed is heating as per normal, but the displayed temperature is hovering around the 30°C mark.

I believe that if the NTC sensor was broken then I would be getting an error, which I am not.

Any ideas?

Have you checked that the sensor has not somehow become loose? A bad contact or no direct contact between the sensor and the heatbed might cause this kind of problem...

I'm in the process of pulling the bed off to check the contact of the bed sensor, but noticed that the hotend is reading 89ºC. WTF? The hot end is cold to the touch, but both of my temp readings are way out.

Well, I've checked the connections, thermistor and re-flashed the firmware. Still getting 86ºC Hotend and 3ºC bed temps.

Any one have any ideas?

Problem solved. The Mega 2560 is the cause.

I've changed to another board, and the temperatures are reading now.
