I added this after being told (blatantly incorrectly) you can't use 24v on ramps. Its not true of course but there are things to be aware of, its just not quite straight out of box and disengage brain type of stuff.

When I converted my ramps to 24V (including hot end and fans), I used one of the LM2596 buck modules to step down to 12V to power the Arduino via it's power jack and also to power some RBG LED strips to illuminate the interior (I would have used it on VIn at 5V otherwise, I don't have a lot of faith in the on board regulators). I also removed the mosfet from the Arduino that switched between USB and DC jack power. I was fortunate that my caps are rated at 35V.
