Hi guys, I'm totally lost. I was searching about 2 days how to correctly wire Blue Laser LA03-5000 to ramps 1.4 board.
This laser has 12V input and separate pwm/ttl wires. I find how to control laser with no PWM ( just hook it to D9 same as fan.) but how wire correctly this type of laser ? Thanks for your advice .. I really want wire it corrent for safety reasons.

I would still connect it to D9 for 12v and use that as a master on/off switch

the PWM you connect to a PWM pin (5v ) use the pins on the servo connector say D4 and the Gnd or D5 or D6 or D11.
Change your firmware so the fan pin is this PWM pin then software that uses fan on/off still works.

you will need M42 P9 S255 for power on
and M42 P9 S0 for power off

Put in start and end gcodes or equivalent

Thanks .. It is what I looking for.. So I still could use FAN mosfet as master switch and pwm to control it .. Thanks

Hello Fires,

I have the same baords(LA03-500 control board and RAMPs 1.4) as you and can't figure out how to use PWM properly.
The laser is always ON even if I send M107 or any other M106 command.
Did you manage to wire your LA03-5000 correctly ?

If so, could you please share the way you wired the boards ?
