our own forum! awesome!

I am down for the 9th. I think every 2nd Wednesday isn't bad as it is. It gives everyone who wants to join a consistent day they they can put aside for the get together as opposed to having to see which day the get together lands on from the every 4 week thing.

Also have we looked into possible places that will allow us with printers to print our printers? I know John has offered but there has to be better places not that John is far from us haha

We have chosen this location as the most central for all concerned and it has way better public transit access for people coming from Vancouver.

We are also discussing a second monthly meeting taking place at a new location. Please see [forums.reprap.org]

@ Everyone
Speaking of see you there! Can we get a quick hello from everyone who may possibly attend. That is if you may even by some chance make it, it would be great to hear from you as I have been making reservations before hand so we can get a table big enough.

I'm going to try to come (again) but I have another long shift that day. Is there any better way to come from New West / Bunaby than out Hwy 1? I don't ussually travel in that direction during rush hour(s), so I have no idea about my potential travel time to make 7pm at 200th.

Thanks for the advice.

Paul

Hi Paul,

hopefully you can make it this time.

6pm on portmann is not too bad especially east bound. But if you dont want to take Hwy 1 you can go through pattullo bridge and via 96ave.

heres a possible route that avoids hwy 1 starting from pattulo: (colossus langley is where boston pizza is)

I'll be there, and may be carpooling with Wallester unless he wants to leave super early to get to SMI before it closes.
Sublime; I'll be leaving 6-630 ish, so if you wanted to jump in my car too, that would be fine.

No problem Kurtis, Just show up at the Boston pizza in Walnut grove and ask for a group under the name of Brad if you can not tell by the table covered in reprapped stuff.

It was great meeting reprappers on Wednesday.

By the way there was a post on the laser cutter forum about shipping to Canada:

A reshipping company called Seawings Express in Blaine WA, brings things over to the Victoria BC Airport. They charge 17 C$ for the first 5lbs, then 0.45 C$/lb after that:
[www3.telus.net]

Unfortunately, they don't mention shipping to Vancouver. International Parcel Service does mention shipping to Vancouver:

Hey Enrique,

Those look interesting but I think we would need to purchase a large amount to have it cost efficient. It cost $27 to have a five pound roll of filament shipped to your door in Canada from Ultimachine. $14 to have it shipped to a U.S. address close to the border. So using Seawings would cost more for one roll, but could save us some money with the right size order. Along with shipping savings for higher quantities within the U.S.

I.P.S. looks like a better way to go. Especially with the weight and size of the packages.

A company I worked for used a freight forwarding company called "Border cargo services" in Blaine WA. I googled it and they do not have a website but every result was them, just ads and such.
