I remember Enrique had mentioned that he wanted to make a RepRap machine that could print out larger objects. I found someone else's versions of the machine, the most noticable changes being the size.

The Printrbot looks interesting but after building two different machines I have to say lateral stability is really important and it can't have much strength in the Z axis.

I mentioned that I wasn't a big makerslide fan earlier. I wanted to post the alternative I was suggesting:

These kinds of bearings are stiff and strong, and cheap. I also trust them more in off axis misalignment than the makerslide, which may be able to derail under high off axis loads. Top down load on the LRR20 is around 400lbs per block! Side load is ~ half that.
