hey guys
I am thinking of
gettng a small batch of
Sanguinololu boards made up
probably about 10 per run they take about 4 weeks to get here

but it wont cost me much more than buying 2
online

so if someone would like one
I can also offer assembly for a small fee plus parts
I plan to socket the Atmega as I am not a fan of the idea of having de solder
a chip that big if it goes south

just want to get a idea of who would be intrested in
bare boards and fully assembled ones

stepper drivers would be bought else where
I don't think I can build them for anywhere near
the price I have seen them sold for
but we could maybe do a bulk buy or something

well as for a kit I might be able to do that
as well but it is a bit of work to sort out and pick each part
but not impossible and for a few people
certianly not a issuse

and hopefully the extra order of parts would
warrent a drop in cost to help ake the extra effort worth while

by Itead sutdios
my last run of custom mega squirt adapter boards came out perfect
so i am willing to try

I could look at the ramps board as well
but if I were to assemble a small run of these
I would need the whole run spoken for as
I have no real need I don't own a ardudino mega

so I do have a duelimove so I can load boot loaders
and stuff

ok I have ordered

10 copies of the
Sanguinololu

and 10 step stick boards with 4 drivers each

I will order parts

based on the need for these

so I can say I have a couple of part sets for
the Sanguinololus spoken for

not sure howmany of you want drivers as well

I would be interested in a complete Sanguinololu kit as well as a second set of parts (I have an extra board already)

I may also be interested in the stepsticks but I do not have a way of soldering the chips on them except a heat gun and that just won't cut it.

I'll be interested in 4 of the stepsticks but I too have no way of soldering the chips onto them.

A heat gun can solder those kind of components with flux, pre-tinning the pads, and the low setting on the heat gun. Last I checked Home Depot had a good one (the Chilliwack one) that would work for that.

ok guys I have worked out some basic rough pricing
for this stuff

please pm me with extcaly what you want

step stick

step stick board $2
step stick parts $25
step stick assembly $10
that is for 4 drivers

Sanguinololu

Sanguinololu board $2
Sanguinololu parts $47
Sanguinololu assembly $10

I will put the ftdi on the bottom
for free if you order parts and the board

These prices are a rough esitmate based on the amount
of stuff you guys have asked for if I can account for 10 sets of parts
for both I am sure the cost will come down more and if enough people want assembly I will bring the cost of that down too

I am hoping to put my parts order in fairly soon
so I will need a count and then a deposit
so please PM with what you want so I can tabulate a
final price

Just to clarify as I'm a little confused by the pricing, if we take the stepstick one for example

it would cost for 4 drivers a total of $37 to get it assembled so that would be $9.25/ea for a fully assembled stepstick board? Do these come with heatsinks for the chip as well?. regardless prices are pretty good.

that is the price
this is a small run that I am doing on my own just for
you guys and myself

so the assembly costs are minimal and there is very little mark up on the parts
sort of the true spirit of the whole reprap idea

and yes I am selling the step sticks as a set of 4 for $37 granted they do not have heat sinks and I don't plan to ship instantly as this will be a majority upfront payment and if I can I would rather hand deliver that parts

than ship them for those of you that in the valley and in Vancouver

granted if the whole batch of boards gets sold then
the prices may come down a bit so I am
asking you guys to speak up now the boards have been ordered when I get notice they have been shipped I will be ordering the parts

if you PM me what you want and your pay pal e-mail address I will send a pay pal invoice and confirmation that what I invoiced is what you want
that way you way a means of secure payment I will also accept cash of course
but it needs to be in hand before I order

It would probably be best to get the 644 as all of the firmwares are set up to use it. Although the 1284 does offer more option for the future.

I may take a additional set of electronics as well.
