I'm having a hell of a time finding these for my SAE prusa. Do they have to be 1 inch exactly or is 3/4 or 1 1/2 or 1 3/4 ok? Home Depot, Lowes Fastenal etc have these sizes but not the elusive 1 inch... II grabbed what I thought were the right ones.. but turns out they aren't machine screws... should took a nylock nut that I have for them with me as the screws I got are for drilling into wood or metal grrr..only $2 so not a big deal.

you can cut them easy enough I probably have several hundered 6-32 screws
try a electrical supply whole saler 6-32 is a really common size
for plugs switches etc etc

I finally found them at another fastenal near my house... fastenal has a lot of locations.. actually ever since I started my build I've realized how many auto parts shops there are around... They're everywhere. I honestly don't get how they stay in business with so much competition.

well auto parts places feed the cars oof today have you seen howmany of them there are around

I know where just about every fastner and industial supplier in mission abby
area is plus all the elcetrical wholesalers

fastenal in abby has helped me many time with custom paint ball gun builds
but for 6-32 and 8-32 fastners thats the world I work in
electricl stuff we buy them by the thousand or so
in every 1/4 in incrament

and as a car guy in general I keep al sorts of stuff around feel free to ask
anytime

So true about cars. I see plenty on my daily hour commute lol... never had to get auto type parts myself so it was just neat to see a whole business/supplier world I didn't really know existed before
