Hi all

Does any one have any advice on what version of firmware I should upload to an Aurdrino 1280 mega board with ramps 1.4.

It seems there is differing versions with differnet ways to upload.

I have loaded the Aurdrino software and the computer is talking to the board (I have run the blinking light test and that has worked)

But have not got any further as I am a bit confused and want to make sure the next step is logical (and not a balls up like most the other steps have been).

For something to start with, Sprinter is a no-brainer choice to go with.

Note: Since you've got a v1.4 board, use the settings given for v1.3 (it works the same). I mention this as I know someone else who saw that it didn't say v1.4, so assumed it didn't work with it.

HI..

You will need to uplaod sprinter but before you do you will need to change the motherboard type to 33 which is for RAMPS 1.3 and 1.4, seeing that they are both the same..

Once you change that setting you need the change your steps/mm for the extruder, enable or disable the sdramps statement, set the end stop to true and set the lenghts in the axis lenght..

Then upload and you should be printing..
