I am printing abs on kaptone tape and it is sticking too well and i am slightly damaging the parts when i am removing them.

any tips and experiences.

It can be difficult very with Kapton so I switched to PET which is easier to remove from.

I use a adjustable pliers similar to these: [www.denlorstools.com] to grip the edges of the part and twist it off. If I fail in one direction I twist it until it creeks a bit and then go the other way. Each time it creeks it gets a bit looser.

Another strategy is to hit them sideways with a hammer via a block of soft wood to cushion it and a cloth behind to catch the object.

Parts that have no flat edges can be impossible to remove without damaging them, or the tape.

If you increase the first layer height a little it makes them much easier to remove.
