Pronterface Output Status

Hi Guys,

Not quite sure were this subject should fit, so admins feel free to move it..

I run pronterface on a linuxmint box and it runs mint (no pun intended) over usb.

I would like to output the status of pronterface to a webpage were I have a webcam running mjpg-streamer. Is there some sort of stout or python magic to get the amount of layers and time left as a text output that I can feed to a html page?

Cheers

BeJay

Seeing it seems no-one has done this before, I thought I'd have a crack at it with my limited python hackness to come up with just what I wanted. This may be of use to someone, so I thought I'd post my solution here. Feel free to optimize this but for now this works.

Here is how I came up with this.

Cheers

Bj

You do realize there is a web interface?

"USING PRONTSERVE

Prontserve runs a server for remotely monitoring and controlling your 3D printer over your network.

To start the server you can run ./prontserve.py in the directory you git cloned printrun too. Once the server starts you can verify it's working by going to [localhost] in your web browser."

I was aware of this, but it I couldn't get it to work. It doesn't seem to be actively worked on anymore
[github.com]... Have you used it Dust?
