Belt loose can't fix

I have a makerfarm prusa i3 8 inch and the x-axis belt has become droopy. The motor used to tighten the belt is as far over as it can be moved. I am not sure what is causing this problem, has anyone encountered this before???

Where you loop the belt and attach to the X carriage just make your loop take up more slack so you can adjust the tension with the motor some more.
You would be "shortening" the belt.

I had the same problem with my Y axis belt. For a quick fix I used a spring from a clothes pin and bent it to take up the slack in the belt and used some small zip ties to hold it on the belt. Just make shure to place it where it wont hit anything. Just a quick fix until you can tighten it right.

Floyd has the correct solution here. Your belts are attached at the two ends. loosen your current adjustment as far as you can, detach the belt from one end, take up as much slack as you can on that end and reattach the belt, then you can tighten your adjustment if you still need to.
