X Axis Drifting

Hi

Please be gentle! This is my first post...

Okay so my problem so far..

I bought a HIC Prusa i3 kit from ebay and got it together. After ALOT of teething problems mostly caused by dodgy parts i got it working and all was good for a time. I then got the replacment printed parts and there my problems begin...

After i put the x axis back together it started making a big buzz/grunt every now and then (missing steps?) And shifting to the left.

So i have pulled it apart and put it back to how it was, same problem.

I swapped the y and x steppers and still the issue stays with the x axis.

So i have replaced tge MKS Base with Ramps 1.4 and still have the same issue.

So i upped the ampage to the stepper. No joy.

So i decreased the acceleration speeds to 500. Still no joy!!

I have printed slower/faster, simple/complex. And i have searched forums high and low for somthing else to try and came up short.

Any help or anything else to try will be greatly welcomed!

Thanks

lowering accell helped me. make sure your belts are really tight, of course. maybe try lowering the jerk rate if you haven't already. (jerk rate is in the Repetier EEPROM—as well as your firmware, of course)

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

Yh the belts are rly tight. Just tried the jerk settings but still no joy!

Running out of things to try! Only thing left is the x axs its self but it all seems free.

Any thing else to try??

I think ive tracked down the problem to the linear bearings on tge x axis. Swapped them out now but broke my thermistor! TYPICAL. So cant test it now till the new ones deliver!! Hopfully there tho!

Thanks
