[solved] Semicircle printing failes...
July 06, 2015 04:00AM
Hi,
I started yesterday with printing a new dual-E3D carrier. [www.thingiverse.com]

Every part went well, but the bracket for the lm8uu bearings turned out as a nightmare.
I got strings because the semicircles do not connect to the print.

Nozzle: 0.4
Layer 0.3
I tried to print it with 2.4mm shell size or 0.8 mm shell size. Even at 30mm/s with 210C, I couldn´t make it bond to the print.

I printed it upright, like it is shown in the picture. Should I try it flat, with support?

I tried it one more time without the print-fan.
I observed the print closely and it seems, all off a sudden I have under extrusion...
I´ll clean the extruder gear and the nozzle, and try again later...

The 0.4 nozzle is clogged and after cleaning still is. I´ll look for a drill bit or thin wire from a wirebrush to clean the throat.
I also found the gear of the extruder was pretty loose, also none of the two grubscrews sat on the flat side of the stepper shaft?!
How stupid is that?

I exchanged the nozzle with 0.3 at 0.2 layer and it worked almost perfect.
