Some time since last 3D

Hello all..

Starting my old prusa I3 hephestos up again after a year in wait...
I newer had it to a PC only use mem card..

Whats the best PC soft to it today?

It print good, but i cant get it to print the first 8cm in the brim layer, like the extruder is starting to late
how do i get the extruder to start extrude IE 5sec before it starts to move to first point...

I done the calibration aso fairly ok, and it print very nice all time, beside the missing first 80mm.

BQ I3 prusa - PLA

Use the "skirt" in slic3r. It's purpose is to prime the extruder and get the plastic flowing out of the nozzle before it starts to print the actual part.

If you're using a brim you don't need the skirt because you're going to be peeling the brim off the finished part anyway.

I ready to test PC connect and firmware update,,,, but have no clue to how to do it, can se i gotta get som Merlin software to a starter...

But anyone have a Step by Step manual?
