Sharing issue I had with Wilson TS with:
arduino mega 2560
Ramps 1.4
TMC2130 w/ 1/16 microsteps
M5 threaded rod (i.e. 4000 st/mm)
octoprint
Cura
Issue was z height was 85% of height when printed via octoprint and cura. Recalibrating z was not effective
setting the z max speed to 1mm/sec solved my problem.
Believe the cause to be ramps dropping z steps due to increased USB overhead logging temp back to Octoprint
According to [
reprap.org] for arduino is 10,000, which would max speed as 2.5mm/sec
Dropped z steps were only occuring on prints, bed levelling and travel from LCD did not show dropped steps.
