Circles flattened/squished on the Y axis
June 06, 2013 10:58PM
Hi Guys, most of my printing is going fine considering this is day 2. However, I am not sure if the bed is jamming or something else is going on.

I printed a very simple cube, 30mm x 30mm with a 15mm circle in center.

The circle is really bad and even detached on one point.

Anyone has any idea whats going on? Basically, its not round, sort of flattened on one side and a little distortion on the other as well, along the Y-Axis, i.e. the bed.

I am using a G1 Mix.

On your Y axis either your belt is too loose or the gear on the stepper motor is loose.

Thanks Bob, Spot on. It was the gear that was loose.

Thanks.
