Why do I keep getting this blockage inside my hotend (J-Head) just after the PTFE tube, means I can't remove the plastic without taking the hot end off and cutting the plastic.

Looks like its a clone from eBay which is not made correctly? In a "real" j-head there is a hollow set screw that holds the ptfe liner in. The filament goes through it on its way into the ptfe and you could not disassemble it the way you did if it had that set screw.
I would recommend buying a hotend from a reputable dealer (not eBay) or a "real" j-head from Brian (the designer of the J-head) at hotends.com .
I second Sublime's comments and recommendations. There is no question that what you have in the picture is not a J-head. Chuck it in the bin, and get a real one from Brian, or one of the manufacturers that he endorses. I think there is a list on his wiki page.
