Look My Test Print Gears And Help To Improve Quality

Should I lower acceleration, speed or what? 230C Hotend & 110C Bed. The hollow calibration cube prints more nicely compared to these gears.

3 things:
Temperature
Infill to perimeter overlap
Extrusion width

If you want to keep the temperature then for small parts you need to delay some more the time to start the next layer.

Further to what ggherbaz said, print 4 at the same time will achieve this. Each small gear will cool sufficiently while the hotend is off doing the other ones.

230 Is too hot for such a small part. Try 220 and print at least two of them.

Thank yoy very much! I managed to improve quality very much, almost perfect (gear9better.jpg). Perhaps I could have done something better, but this was good enough. I see a little design flaw on my first gear drawing.

I lowered temperature to 225. I did not try to print 4 at once, yet, but here are the other setting that I made in Slic3r:

Avoid crossing perimeters true.

; generated by Slic3r 1.0.0RC2 on 2014-10-28 at 15:48:09
; layer_height = 0.25
; perimeters = 3
; top_solid_layers = 3
; bottom_solid_layers = 3
; fill_density = 0.4
; perimeter_speed = 30
; infill_speed = 40
; travel_speed = 130
; nozzle_diameter = 0.4
; filament_diameter = 3
; extrusion_multiplier = 1
; perimeters extrusion width = 0.40mm
; infill extrusion width = 0.40mm
; solid infill extrusion width = 0.40mm
; top infill extrusion width = 0.40mm
; first layer extrusion width = 0.40mm

Good print. Lower your extrusion multiplier to 0.9 on small parts like that one.
