what leads are you using from the motors - which 4 of the 6?
Have you adjusted your stepper drivers?
I have hooked up the 4 wires to the RAMPS board with the center taps ignored. I measured the potentiometers with a multimeter and got .4V.

I have no end stops hooked up right now.......
....and the controller is likely reading this as a triggered endstop (per my previous comment).
Not sure what the g-code is to read the enstops, but you can try that to see if this may be the issue or not.
