FolgerTech Printer Problems
January 09, 2015 06:21PM
I just finished up assembling the FolgerTech 3D printer and am now on to "tuning" which is giving me some head aches. I am having trouble with the motors and end stops explained in the video I recorded (link provided). Something that I did not mention in the video is finding the "Home" position which proves to be more difficult than it should be. Also, when moving the hot end around it will say that it has hit the end stop but it is not even half way across the heat bed. If anyone can help me fix these issues that would be great. Thanks in advance for your time.

In Marlin you need to set your X endstop to a MAX end stop, change the -1 to a 1

You also need to adjust the pots on the stepper drivers if the motors aren't moving.

An axis may only move in 1 direction until you home that axis - as it doesn't know how far it can travel without homing first.

Also see a previous post I made re: enstops etc

Hope this helps
