Printer pausing/jerking during print

Hi guys new here and also new to 3d printing. I have a prusa i3 that I put together. When I print a test cube etc all is fine. So i thought good to go and proceeded to print a spool holder for the printer. That's when the trouble started. No noises or anything it would just pause or stutter randomly doing infill or small squares. I have a video but I havent a clue how to upload i can mail it to someone if need be. The quality of the print seems fine other than the areas where it has the problem

I suspect it may be the slicing software. If I print the objects individually they work pretty fine and the detail is better

If you are printing over USB, then the problem is likely to be that the data rate over the USB can't keep up with the printer when it is printing a lot of very short moves in succession. The usual solution is to print from SD card instead.

Alternatively, if your printer electronics has a native USB port (so not Arduino Mega/RAMPS), disable software handshaking in the host control software. I think Repetier host calls it "ping pong", and I think Pronterface may still require a patch.

Ah ok. Well I was wrong I tried to print out one side it worked fine. Then when I printed the side with more detail it started to do the jerk. So I suppose I need to get a sd card. I have the discount panel so lets hope that sorts it

Switched to a usb 2 port and it works *sigh* I got the ramps smart controller today and with my luck I can upload to the sd card but cant read from it so stuck again
