Help with some problems!
May 23, 2015 11:22AM
Hello This is my first post, and I'm having some problems, particularly with overhangs and what looks like build up of excess material. and some wierd holes in the top layer of the roof.
I've added a few pics of some test prints.
Its a fairly generic i3 Prusa with a e3d v6 0.4mm hotend.
Tempratures were bed at 60c and end at 190c throughout.

Its my first printer and it was kit built, any questions fire away!

Boat on left was printed 0.1 layers one on right 0.3

Thank you!

Printing PLA? Looks like you need to add a print cooling fan to improve the overhangs.

1 Cooling Fan is needed for PLA printing.
2 Check your model. The upper looks good while bottom is bad. Sometimes, it is related with the model design.
3 Lower the nozzle temperature and have another try.

Thanks for the advice guys, will definitely fit a fan.

I've had to do a partial re-build after a clog and melt indecent so its out of commission for now sad smiley

But at least its given me the excuse to re-build with some improvements!
