Issues with first print.

Hello!

I have lurked for ages, and have just recently finished building a Prusa i3 box frame. I have completed my first print of a simple hollow cube but there are some issues. It started out printing well, but once it reached a specific point it seemed like the nozzle was being raised too much and started to let the plastic fall on to the print rather than being laid on top of the previous layer. I had had an issues before this print where the extruder was extruding so fast I just ended up with a ball of plastic on the bed, but I calibrated the steps and had it extruding exactly the length I was telling it to using pronterface. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks!

It looks like you've raised/lowered the bed temperature after few layers in your slicer settings. 60'c and 110'c does have a layer height differences by about 0.5mm I think (in my previous struggle printing pla from abs)

I am running with PLA @ 200 right now with the bed @ 60. I do have it set to have the bed at 65 for the first layer for better adherence, but after that it is set to stay 60. While I was watching it (was a short print time haha) I never notice the temp change from + or - 2 degrees at most.

If it helps any I am using 3mm PLA with a j-head with a .35mm nozzle.
